HELP ME - CENTRAL

About Me

We are all Motivational Speakers; as we are always talking ourselves into or out of something.

I am sound & healthy, stand 6 ft, weight 185 #. I have two married daughters living in Kentucky. I am a Christian non-smoker, non drinker, no drugs. I live the cowboy life style and like dancing.

I enjoy practicing training horses and dogs, and make my living that way.

I start young and old horses under saddle and train them for riding and/or driving single or multi hitch, Drafts/Work horses or Light/Carriages horse, and train dogs for obedience and Pulling; light fun vehicles. I also do remedial training with both animals. I communicate well people or animals.

I briefly visited (10 days 1978) Venezuela and (8 days 1979) visiting Costa Rica seeking new experiences. I recently (July 2013) spent 35 days visiting in Germany, France, Holland and visited the Spanish Schoolof riding in Vienna Austria. I was seeking a differnet connection with the horse.

I raised Australian Queensland Blue Heelers (Cattle Dogs) for 15 years. I have had two personal Queensland Blue Heelers. One named Heeler for 17 years who died in 1986 and Jingles for 20 years, who on June 4, 2008 decided he wanted to chase the Devils Herd across the endless sky. Both were the nicest dogs to be around, be you stranger, friend, adult, child, or animal. I traveled to Central America and South America, Canada and across the United States with a Blue Heeler’ and never had a problem.

Since 1999 I have traveled about in a two-horse trailer with living quarters. I pull it with a 1986 GMC, 4wd, standard shift, with a flat bed. I do 90% of my own repairs. I chose to travel, endeavoring to learn and better understand the horse, dog and people. I feel my nomadic life style as afforded me opportunity to learn more, than I would have learned, had I stayed in one place.

My philosophy on training horses and dogs is the same with people, that being; trust will come when I prove to be trust worthy. I personally don’t need to get the best a horse has to give, but the horse does need the best I can give. When ever I worked for someone I collected letters from them, as to my work and character, consequently, I have a bag of references.

n 2001 I began writing a book title: “US in Equus”; the subject is about understanding and training of horses for riding and driving. After eleven (11) years I felt it was time to stop writing; the present word count is 126 thousand words, with 84 illustrations; In October of 2012, I sent it to editor. When the editing and illustration are complete and it is ready to print; I will self publish perhaps 25 books and distribute them to those in the industry; both professionals and laypersons for their opinions. If the material is of any value, it will find its place in the market. Still looking for an edtor?

Since 1999, I spent time training horses and gathering cows in Santa Ynez Valley, of Central California; Atascadero, Paso Robles, Sacramento, Buellton and Burbank area. I worked as a wrangler/horseman on several “City Slicker” type drives for the San Juan Ranch near the Carrisa Plains N.E. of Paso Robles CA. supporting the guest in their adventure of cattle drives.

I worked in Red Deer Canada for less than a month in Feb.03 too cold for me @ 40 below even though they had a heated indoor arena.

In Feb. & March of 2003 I was part of gathering and sorting 300 plus wild horses for the Shoshone Indians on the Dann sister’s ranch (for the Dann Sisters) between the Cortez and Shoshone Mountain range of NV. Near, Crescent Valley, NV. That experience was exciting, but alas it turned out to be heart breaking.

I have found that if I can do it, anyone can. If you can do it, I can do it, perhaps not as well as you. I don’t want to be the best at anything….But’ I want to be good at what I do.

I thought God made me perfect; but some people have found me not so.

In Kindness Until we meet…Should we ever.

Be at Peace Jack Vance
